NEWYORK: The procession of Eid-Milad Nabi of Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) will be taken out on September 15 from Coney Island avenue and Milad will be held at Maki Masjid at the end of procession.
This was decided in a meeting of Anjuman-e-Ghousia New York under the leadership of Sahibzada Pir Syed Safdar Hussain Shah held at local hotel to finalize arrangements with regard to organization of the procession and Milad congregation.
Giving details of the procession after the meeting, Sahibzada Pir Syed Safdar Hussain Shah said that like every year Milad and procession of Eid Milad Nabi will be take out from Coney Island avenue and it will culminate at Maki Masjid while proceedings on its traditional routes.
He said that Ulema, Naat Khawan and religious personalities will deliver sermons, lectures on the life of Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) and recite Naats.
On this occasion, social and other personalities of the community appreciated the annual effort of Pir Syed Safdar Hussain Shah and said that this event further promotes the light of faith in the hearts of the people, the love of the Holy Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) and encourages them to follow the guidance and teachings of Islam in their lives.
Muslim Police Officer Society’s President Inspector Adeel Rana from New York Police Department said that the police department is committed to provide safety to the participants of the procession wherever it is needed however at the same time participants of the procession should cooperate being as a good citizen. Later, Pir Syed Safdar Hussain Shah offered a special prayer at the end of meeting.
