HOUSTON: Pakistan’s consulate in USA Houston organized an event in connection with the fifth anniversary of India’s illegal and unilateral actions of 5 August 2019 in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) observing the ‘Youm-e- Istehsal’ (Day of Exploitation).
Addressing ceremony, consul general Mohammad Aftab Chaudhry reiterated the continued political, diplomatic and moral support of the Kashmiris on behalf of the Pakistani nation and read the messages of President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari, prime minister Shehbaz Sharif and deputy prime minister Ishaq Dara regarding the Exploitation Day.
Chairperson of Friends of Kashmir Ghazala Habib said that India is a fascist country which has been oppressing Kashmiris for more than seven decades and by abolishing the constitutional status of Kashmir on August 5, 2019, India has deprived Kashmiris from their separate identity.
She said that India will not be able to succeed in its conspiracy to end the separate identity of Kashmiris.
She said that India was depriving the Kashmiris of their basic rights in occupied Kashmir and at the same time, through the settlement of extremist Hindus, the proportion of the population of Kashmiri Muslims was also being destroyed.
She also pointed out that in same way Israel was humiliating the humanity by oppressing the Palestinians pointing out that India-Israel nexus is a big threat to world peace. She said that international community should pressurize India and Israel to stop atrocities and the Kashmiri and Palestinian people should be granted their basic rights such as freedom.
Speaking at the event, Deputy consul general Mohammad Asher, prominent Sikh leader Dr. Har Dum Singh Azad, well-known social personality Dr. Asif Qadeer said that every person who believes in the supremacy of human rights should support the right of self-determination of Kashmiris and India’s Kashmir but condemns oppressive and cruel rule of India.
The speakers said that the veil of so-called secularism has been removed from the face of India and the philosophy of Hindutva is the real face of India. They said that world powers should impose economic sanctions on India to stop human rights violations in Kashmir.
They said that Pakistan will continue to highlight the issue of Kashmir at every forum of the world. Prominent social personalities and media representatives also participated in the event.
