NEWYORK: Al-Khoei foundation in New York President Fazil Al-Sailani has said that the best way to keep alive the purpose of Imam Hussain (RA) sacrifice is to remember his philosophy in every area of life.
He was addressing an annual Majlis in New York as part of series of Majalis being held during the second decade of Muharram.
A Majlis was organized at the residence of renowned businessman of Pakistan community Maisam Rizvi in New York.
Fazil Al-Sailani said that devotion, loyalty and love for Imam Hussain (RA) requires that his teachings should not be limited only to the days of Muharram.
The scholars said that the incident of Karbala is not only the great lesson for the Muslims to remain steadfast against oppression but also supremacy of Islam and survival of humanity.
A large number of mourners participated in the Majlis. Before the end of the assembly, the mourners also offered Noha Khawani and chest beating.
On this occasion, the mourners said that organizing Majalis is the best way to publicize the sacrifice of Imam Hussain (RA) and his message. At the end of the Majlis, Nazr-o-Niyaz was distributed among the mourners.
