NEW YORK: The Brighton Family Day and Eid celebration, organized by APNA Community Center in Brooklyn, New York, started with the recitation of the Holy Quran and later Hamd in the honor of Almighty Allah was recited. National anthem of Pakistan was also sung.
Addressing participants, APNA Brooklyn Community Chief Executive Erum Hanif thanked the guests for their presence. She also thanked the sponsors and supporters of the program and also presented a short review of APNA’s performance in 2023.

Addressing the participants of the event, APNA Community Chairman Pervez Siddiqui thanked all the guests including community members. He also thanked the volunteers and said that due to their efforts we have been identified by our volunteers.
Naseem Gilgiti presented a gift of Gilgit-Baltistan’s traditional cap to the chairman of the community, Parvez Siddiqui.

Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce’s chief executive officer Randy Peers participated in the Eid celebration and congratulated them on Eid. He also appreciated the efforts of Pervez Siddiqui and Erum Hanif for organizing the event.

US officials attending the program thanked the hosts for inviting them in the Eid celebrations and said they have also celebrated Pakistan Day two weeks back with Pakistani public affairs committee in Albany in which our great friend Pervez Siddiqui was also present and reason for telling such thing was that Pakistani community be proud to be an American.

APNA community arranged fun activities for children including jumping castles in the Brighton Family Day Eid celebration to enjoy. Free toys were also distributed among the children.
In the event, mehndi stalls were also set up in connection with Eid, where new designs of mehndi were decorated on the hands. On this occasion, the Chief Executive of APNA Community, Erum Hanif, was also congratulated on her birthday.

New York Police Department’s Inspector Adeel Rana attended the event and greeted all members of the community on the eve of Eid. He said that he used to come almost every year and this event is becoming better and bigger. Adeel Rana said that he encourage those families who plan to bring their children in the police field because it is better for our future.

APNA community’s executive director Shazia Vatto said that we should register their votes to become part of the political system as until we will become part of US politics we will not come into the power. She said that it is necessary to be part of the country politics as it is important for our future generations.
Social personality of the community Salma Kausar also thanked the organizers and presented her point of view. The participants were also given gift hampers through luck draws with the collaboration of Shazia and Marhaba Pharmacy.
The award winners thanked the organizers while enjoying the event. The guests from different walks of life also participated in the event and thanked them for being invited to the event.

At the end of the event, the guests and representatives of different department including APNA community Chairman Pervez Siddiqui were given tokens of appreciation and souvenirs. A local singer also performed in the event and participants enjoyed the music.
