NEWYORK: New YORK schools to be closed on April 10 in observance of Eid-ul-Fitr
New York City Department of Education announced school holiday on Wednesday, April 10 for students and staff with respect to the Eid-ul-Fitr holiday, also called the “Festival of Breaking the Fast”.
This special holiday marks the end of the month-long, dawn-to-sunset fasting of Ramadan.
Schools will resume as regularly scheduled on Thursday, April 11th.
