American Pakistani Advocacy Group (APAG) organized its annual Ramadan Food Drive in New York

NEWYORK: The American Pakistani Advocacy Group organized its fourth annual Ramadan Food Drive in the Richmond Hill, Queens at Allama Iqbal Avenue.

Rations bags were distributed to the people in connection with the blessed month of Ramadan.

Head of the American Pakistani Advocacy Group  Ali Rashid said that flour, rice, tea bags, dates, Roohafza, fruits, vegetables, bread, eggs and other essential items have been distributed so that needy people can be helped in the holy month of Ramadan.

Assemblyman David Weprin, who participated in the food drive, along with other US officials said, “I am very happy to see the distribution of rations to the Muslim American community here with APAG.”

The representatives of the American Pakistani Advocacy Group said that everyone was making efforts before Ramadan to contribute to the cause and our effort today was also for the same purpose. They said that goods were distributed to needy persons without any discrimination.

The officials of APAG said that the purpose of this food drive was to help the needy people in the community. A large number of people participated in the food drive and appreciated the efforts of APAG to help the needy people.
