Six Pakistani-origin NYPD cops promoted to next ranks for serving the department with integrity

New York: Six officers of Pakistani origin posted in the New York Police Department (NYPD) have been promoted to the next ranks as Police Commissioner Edward Caban witnessed the ceremony held in Police Headquarters, amid tunes being played by the bands in celebration of the promotions.

Police Commissioner Edward Caban gave the promoted officers their ranks and honors.

Eighteen years ago, Muhammad Adnan Ahmad of Pakistani origin, who joined the New York Police, was promoted from the position of lieutenant to the position of commander of the detective squad.

Among the promoted officers are Nasir Siddique, Umair Karim and others. They say that joining the New York Police is not just a job but a guarantee of a better future.

The function was attended by the top leadership of the police department while the families of the officers who were promoted to the next posts were also invited.

The happiness on the faces of the families of Pakistani promoted officers on was very visible.

The Pakistani officers posted in the New York Police have once again reiterated their commitment that they will continue to perform their duties with integrity.
