New Jersey: ShowFest is dedicating a colorful evening to the Indian legendary poet, author, and film director Gulzar in which he will enlighten the audience on his lifelong tale of ups and downs.
ShowFest is organizing an event to honor Gulzar at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center on July 16.
Organized by Ateeque Sheikh and ShowFest, this beautiful evening will be administrated by Rakhshanda Khan, a great professor of Urdu literature from Delhi, who has come all the way to the United States.
In this unique show, Gulzar will tell the audience the story of his migration from Pakistan to India and also shed light on his life experiences.
On this occasion, the singers will enchant the audience with the magic of their voice on the songs written by Gulzar for Indian films.
Gulzar herself will recite his poems in the program, and will also share experiences as to how did the journey from Pakistan to India happen? What was the experience of working with Jagjit and Bipi Lahri, How did the relations remain successful with Anand Bakhshi.
