Three-day Supreme Council meeting chaired by Mullah Hebatullah Akhundzada in Kandahar.
Government formation, Political and security issues, basic necessities and facilities to citizens were discussed says Taliban spokesman.

Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid tweeted that the three-day Supreme Council meeting was chaired by Taliban leader Mullah Hebatullah Akhundzada in Kandahar and continued from Saturday to Monday.

According to spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid, current political and security issues were discussed in detail in the meeting. The meeting also decided to protect basic necessities and provide basic facilities to the citizens and treat them well. The important decisions regarding formation of new Islamic government and cabinet have also been discussed in the meeting.
The Taliban spokesman said that the Supreme Leader had given full instructions and also informed about the responsibilities.
No announcement has been made by the Taliban about forming a government yet but reports have emerged that Mullah Baradar has left Kandahar for Kabul after the Supreme Council meeting and a cabinet announcement is expected soon.
Taliban announced that the government would not be formed until the withdrawal of the last US troops present on Afghan soil, but the US military has completed the withdrawal last night, a day before the deadline.
