ICNA relief Jamaica chapter organized a large Food Pantry where Grocery including fresh vegetables were distributed in 300 peoples.
Despite the spread of covid 19 many peoples que up in lines and receive grocery. In the long ques peoples from all walk of lives. On the event Commissioner of New York city for food and sanitation Kathrine Garcia specially attended meanwhile the only Muslim member accompanied and area council man Derek Meller attended the ICNA distribution.
Food and sanitation Commissioner observe the ICNA distribution with hi interest and present two hours on the spot. Kathrine Garcia also distribute the food among the needy with her own hands and council member Derek meller and staff of commissioner also distributes the grocery among the peoples. Commissioner Garcia also visited the Family shelter of ICNA relief and talk with media she appreciates the welfare work of ICNA relief.
The distribution of rations was supervised by ICNA Relief New York Coordinator Ishaq Alpar, and also accompanied by Hanger In charge Muhammad Atif and Matin Ahmed Health Clinic prevention ICNA relief New York Anwar Gujjar.
On the occasion thousands of pounds food distributed in 300 peoples. Since the COVID 19 begins till now some 37 thousand peoples get while 6 thousand fresh cocked food and Iftar were distributed. A special Ramadan food basket is also being distributed to Muslims in New York on a large scale
