NYPD And The Muslim Community Meetup, Means For Better Co-operation Under Discussion

The Muslim Officers Society of New York Police convenes a special meeting at the Bait ul Maqdas Mosque in Brooklyn to improve cooperation and links between the police and the community. Pakistani, Bangladeshi, Saudi & Turkish community leaders and community figures attended.

 

The meeting considered further strengthening cooperation between police and communities. Speaking on the occasion, Pervaiz Siddiqui, in the spirit of his community Brooklyn Center, said that in order to improve relations and cooperation it is important that police officers and officials should be aware about the worship of Muslims, religious festivals and culture.

 

Police officers attending the meeting said that there has always been an effort to better protect the legitimate rights and interests of every community here.

 

Attendees of the meeting briefed New York police about their problems, answered questions on various topics and exchanged useful suggestions.
