Trump Dismisses Syria Concerns, 673 Terrorists Neutralized in Operation Peace Spring

German citizen of Turkish origin severely injured due to knife attack by YPG/PKK supporters

US President Donald Trump has said Turkey’s incursion into Syria is “not our border”, and called the former US allies the Kurds “no angels”.

Mr Trump told reporters at the White House the US is “not a policing agent”.

“It is time for us to go home,” he said.

The US House of Representatives voted overwhelming to condemn the president’s withdrawal of US forces from Syria, with both Democrats and Mr Trump’s fellow Republicans approving the measure.

On the other hand, a total of 673 People’s Protection Units (YPG) terrorists have been neutralized since Turkey launched Operation Peace Spring in northern Syria, the Defense Ministry said Thursday.

Turkish authorities often use the word “neutralized” in their statements to imply that the terrorists in question either surrendered or were killed or captured.

Meanwhile, in Germany, YPG/PKK supporters attacked a German citizen of Turkish origin with a knife in Ludenscheid city on Wednesday.

The 50-year-old citizen was severely injured after being stabbed, and taken under treatment at a nearby hospital, a spokesman for the police said in a statement.

The incident occurred during a a protest organized by the YPG/PKK terrorist organization supporters against Turkey’s ongoing Operation Peace Spring in northern Syria.

The German police said the incident was still under investigation.

At least 15 people were injured in 17 attacks in Germany since Operation Peace Spring in northern Syria began.

Turkey sent a diplomatic note to Germany expressing concern over rising attacks by YPG/PKK terror group supporters on Turkish representatives, organizations and community in the country, Ankara’s ambassador said Wednesday.
