NEWYORK: The deadline for voter registration in New York for the midterm elections, going to take place nationwide on November 3, 2026, is October 24. Early voting is also beginning on October 24 and will continue through November 1.
“All About USA” has launched an online voter guide titled “Lets Vote NYC” as part of its civic awareness and public participation initiative to provide the community with reliable information regarding the electoral process, voter registration, and civil rights.
All About USA said that the objective of this initiative is to more effectively connect all eligible citizens, including the Pakistani-American community, with the American democratic and civic system, to increase awareness about the electoral process, and to encourage informed participation in public affairs.
Organization said through guide it aims to consolidate information on voter registration, voting procedures, key election dates, polling locations, and voter rights in one accessible place, enabling citizens to prepare in advance and ensure their participation in the electoral process.
The organization’s broader civic awareness program goes beyond merely providing information about elections; it also helps the community understand how the American civic system functions.
This includes clarifying the powers and responsibilities of local, state, and federal governments, as well as explaining how citizens can exercise their rights, utilize available resources, and navigate legal procedures.
The program covers matters related to the City Council and local administration, public services available at the state level, and various federal government programs.
All About USA encourages individuals within the community to support one another, share information with those in need or with deserving families, and utilize the services provided by relevant government agencies.
It also strives to explain how individuals can benefit from various resources; a key aspect of this program is enabling those who are informed about government facilities, social support, or civic services to share this information with others in need.
The organization said that it fosters mutual cooperation within the community while strengthening the connection between civic institutions and the public.
According to the organization, effective participation in the American democratic system requires more than just casting a vote; it is essential for citizens to be aware of their rights, responsibilities, and the functions of government institutions.
It said informed citizens can not only participate in elections but also play an active role in the affairs of their neighborhoods, cities, and states.
Such awareness empowers the community to identify public issues, access available resources, and contribute to solving collective problems, it added.
“All About USA” has urged media outlets, community organizations, and social activists to disseminate the “Let’s Vote NYC” guide as widely as possible.
It said this will ensure that eligible voters can take the necessary steps before the registration deadline and remain informed about the various available voting methods, including early voting.
