Pakistani American social figure Chaudhry Mohammad Ilyas laid to rest in Long Island

NEWYORK: A renowned social figure of Pakistani American community in New York Chaudhry Mohammad Ilyas has been laid to rest in Long Island graveyard.

A large number of Pakistani-American community members, including his loved ones, friends, political, social, and business figures, attended the funeral prayers of Ilyas Chaudhry, a beloved and prominent figure of the -American community, from all over New York.

Community members started arriving even before the funeral prayers at the Noor Masjid in Huntington.

Ilyas Chaudhry has been a benefactor to countless people in New York. He held a place as a sincere leader in the hearts of the Pakistani community.

Whether someone was in trouble or had migrated to America from Pakistan, Ilyas Chaudhry would always take the initiative to help in every possible way and be a support for moving forward.  This is the reason why he is alive in everyone’s hearts even after his death.

Due to the large participation of the community, Ilyas Chaudhry’s funeral prayers were organized in the premises of the Masjid.

Addressing the participant, the Imam of the Masjid, Mufti Mohammad Farhan, said that life is very short, and time of death is fixed and only after that real life begin, so while we are in this world, we must do such things that will become a means of salvation in the afterlife.

It is pertinent to mention that Ilyas Chaudhry had been suffering from liver disease for a long time and was also undergoing treatment in the hospital. He passed away two days back at his residence.
