WASHINGTON D.C: The U.S. Congressional Pakistan Caucus organized a historic symposium on Pakistan-U.S. relations in Capitol Hill.
The symposium held on the theme of the past, present, and future of Pakistan-U.S. relations, included special sessions on security and economic relations.
Experts from the U.S. Department of State, the American think tank community, former ambassadors, and specialists in security and economic affairs shared their views.
Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asia Paul Kapur noted on X handle that positive developments in Pakistan-U.S. relations during President Trump’s tenure have promoted mutually beneficial partnerships in economic sector, including minerals.
Pakistan’s Ambassador to the US Rizwan Saeed Sheikh said Pakistan-U.S. partnership has not only been historically significant but also extremely productive for regional and global peace and security.
He emphasized that the partnership between the two countries with the world’s largest populations is not optional but a critical necessity of our time.
The Ambassador said that Pakistan has played a frontline role in the fight against terrorism and made countless contributions to regional and global peace. He said Pakistan is ready to continue playing its full role in global peace.
