NEWYORK: The Muslim community celebrated Eid al-Fitr with religious zeal and fervor in USA.
A main Eid-ul-Fitr congregation was held at the Mecca Masjid located at Coney Island Avenue in New York in which Muslim offered Eid-Ul-Fitr prayers. The Muslims greeted each other and congratulated on Eid-ul-Fitr.
Not only the Pakistani community but also people from other Muslim countries living in different areas of Brooklyn participated in the Eid prayers congregations. The Imam of the Masjid delivered a sermon in which he highlighted the virtues of Eid al-Fitr.
Later, special prayers were offered to the Almighty for the progress and prosperity of the Muslim Ummah, victory over evil forces, establishment of peace and order in the world, recovery of the sick, and resolution of collective problems and difficulties.
After the prayer, everyone greeted each other on Eid and also remembered their deceased relatives.
