APAC’s new office bearers take oath

NEWYORK: New office bearers and members of the All Pakistani American Coalition took the oath of office in New York.

US Senator Jessica Ramos administered the oath of office to the new cabinet.

The swearing-in ceremony of the new office bearers of the All Pakistani American Coalition began with the recitation of the Holy Quran followed by Naat in honor of Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him).

A large number of political, social and business figures of the Pakistani American community attended the ceremony.

The national anthems of Pakistan and the United States were also sung on the occasion. Democratic Senator Jessica Ramos, elected from the state of New York, attended as the special guest and administered the oath to the new officers and members of the organization.

Addressing the participants, Senator Jessica Ramos said that the current situation is certainly difficult for the immigrant community, but we are trying to ensure that they have equal opportunities for education and employment.

APAC Chairman Sheikh Tauqirul Haq introduced the officers and members of his organization and welcomed the guests. Jessica Ramos was presented a traditional Chador on the occasion.

Heads and representatives of various organizations of the Pakistani community also participated in the oath-taking ceremony.

APAC officials said that they would work hard for the betterment of the community.

APAC members said that their efforts will continue to unite the Pakistani American community and find solutions to the problems.

Later, the entire APAC team cut a cake on the occasion of Pakistan Day and also raised slogans of Long Live Pakistan. The participant later broke Iftar with Adhan of Magrib prayer.
