APAG Cares organizes annual Ramadan food drive in New York

NEWYORK: The American Pakistani Advocacy Group Cares (APAG Cares) organized its annual Ramadan Food Drive at Allama Iqbal Avenue in Queens, New York.

APAG Cares dedicated team distributed essential Ramadan food items including flour, rice, lentils, tea bags, dates, juices, fresh fruits, vegetables, bread, eggs, and much more to ensure families can observe the blessed month with dignity and ease.

Councilmember Lynn Schulman joined the drive and expressed her appreciation for APAG Cares continued commitment to serve the community in every situation. APAG Cares also thanked the many staff members from elected officials offices who came out in support.

APAG Cares officials said that the turnout from the community was overwhelming. They said that families came together and expressed their gratitude which reminded us why we do this work.

They said that APAG believes that it’s not just about distributing food but it’s about standing together, uplifting one another, and strengthening our community.

They said that teamwork makes the dream work, service is our mission and community is our strength.
