Pakistan observes Kashmir solidarity day

ISLAMABAD: Various political and religious organizations took out rallies and organized demonstrations to express solidarity with Kashmiri people in connection with Kashmir Solidarity Day.

The participants of the rallies and demonstrations raised slogans in support of Kashmiri people. They also carried carrying banners highlighting Indian atrocities against Kashmiri people.

Addressing the rally in Islamabad, Minister for Kashmir Affairs Amir Muqam said the large turnout of people from diverse segments of society underscores Pakistan’s unwavering support for its Kashmiri brothers and sisters in their legitimate struggle for the right to self-determination.

He paid tributes to the sacrifices of Kashmiri people, emphasizing that the day is not far when their struggle will yield results. He said Pakistan will always advocate for the rights of Kashmiri people.

He urged the UN to implement its resolutions for the resolution of Jammu and Kashmir dispute as per the aspirations of Kashmiri people. He emphasized that resolution of the dispute is important for regional peace and security.

Federal minister for parliamentary affairs Tariq Fazal Chaudhry said that Indian atrocities in IIOJK stand exposed in the world. He emphasized that Pakistan is the voice of the Kashmiri people and will continue to advocate for their cause on every forum.

Chairman of Parliamentary Committee on Kashmir Rana Muhammad Qasim Noon said Pakistan is committed to Kashmir cause, emphasizing it is our national cause.

APHC leader Farooq Rehmani said Pakistan and Kashmir are inseparable and they will remain one forever. He strongly condemned Indian atrocities in IIOJK as well as efforts to change the demography of the disputed territory.
