NEWYORK: More than 60 new traffic enforcement agents have graduated from the New York Police Department. Raees Ansari, who came to the United States from Pakistan a year ago, took first place among the new traffic agents.
67 more traffic enforcement agents have joined the New York City Police Department after completing their graduation.
A ceremony was held at One Police Plaza in honor of the new agents and they were sworn in, while Raees Ansari, 42, who came to the United States from Pakistan a year ago, took first place.

The ceremony was attended by senior police officers, new traffic agents and their families.
Raees Ansari, who secured first position and was recruited as a traffic agent in the New York Police Department, said in his speech that this graduation is not the end but the beginning of a new journey of success.

Raees Ansari has been associated with the Islamic banking sector in Pakistan and moved to the US last year.
He said that due to the lack of Islamic banking opportunities in US, he changed his profession and joined the traffic police.

NYPD’s transprtation bureau’s deputy chief Brian O’Sullivan and Pakistani-origion deputy inspector Owais Khanzada, who is also the commanding officer in the Traffic Enforcement District, said that there are excellent job opportunities in the department, and young people should join.
Raees Ansari, by joining Traffic Enforcement in a short period of one year and securing first position, has sent message that America is not only a land of immigrants, but also provides equal opportunities for development.
