NYCSBC celebrates its annual dinner and Christmas

NEWYORK: The New York Chamber of Small Business Corporation celebrated its annual dinner and Christmas.

A large number of South Asian community members attended the annual dinner held at a local restaurant in Long Island.

Chamber President Alamdar Shah alias Amy Shah and Vice President Chaudhry Sarwar welcomed the guests and extended Christmas and holiday greetings.

State Assembly Member Jennifer Rajkumar and Senior Advisor to Nassau County Executive Chaudhry Akram also attended the event.

Chaudhry Akram extended Christmas greetings to the community on behalf of County Executive Bruce Blakeman and thanked Chaudhry Sarwar, a business and social figure of the community, who played an important role in organizing event.

State Assemblywoman Jennifer Rajkumar highlighted the importance of the New York Chamber of Small Business Corporation, saying that more than half of New York’s South Asian residents work in small businesses.

Jennifer assured that she would provide full support to these businesses in getting rid of bureaucracy.

Later, awards sent by Assemblywoman Jennifer Rajkumar and the Governor of Punjab in Pakistan were given to various personalities of the Pakistani American community in New York in recognition of their services.

Participants also enjoyed the musical performances by the artists. A cake was also cut at the end of the ceremony to mark Christmas.
