POWER celebrates Pakistan’s independence day

NEWYORK: People’s Organization for Welfare Equality and Reforms, an organization working for the empowerment and social welfare of the women, organized an event to celebrate Pakistan’s independence day.

The organization’s founder and chairperson, Tahira Deen, along with her team, hoisted the green crescent flag, highlighting the message of love and unity for Pakistan.

The event was organized by the POWER at a local restaurant at 46 West Old Country Road, Westbury, New York which was attended by a large number of community members, women, youth and children.

The participants celebrated the independence by cutting a cake and expressed their best wishes for the beloved homeland.

The organization’s chairperson Tahira Deen said that Pakistan is our pride and today we have gathered here so that we can show how much we love Pakistan.

The organization’s general secretary Wajiha said that the mission of the POWER is to provide opportunities for women to move forward and lead the community towards a bright future.

The guests attending the event appreciated the organization’s mission and congratulated Tahira Din and her team for organizing the successful event.

The colors of patriotism, brotherhood, and the joy of freedom were prominent in the event, which further highlighted the love for the homeland in the hearts of the community.
