Second annual Arbaeen procession taken out in Harrisburg

HARRISBURG: The second annual Arbaeen procession, organized by the Shia Muslims of Pennsylvania in memory of the martyrs of Karbala, took out in Harrisburg and concluded along its designated routes.

The procession was organized by Syed Maisam and Syed Moeez Raza. World-renowned Noha Khawans Master Mohammad Shah and Johar Ali Rizvi paid tribute to the Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) and his companions of Karbala.

Allama Rizwan Haider Turabi and Shedak Abdul Jalil shed light on the life of the grandson of the Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him), Hazrat Imam Hussain, at the Majlis-e-Azza. The scholars narrated the painful journey of the Hazrat Hussain (RA)’s family to Kufa and Syria after the incident of Karbala.

Various relics, including the image of the flag and the coffin, were brought out in the procession.

A large number of mourners from different states and cities including New York, New Jersey, Virginia, Maryland participated in the procession.

The organizers and participants vowed that they would promote the mourning in a better way. Later, the mourning procession reached its designated place and ended.
