Bangladeshi American police associations organizes iftar dinner

NEWYORK: Bangladeshi American Police Association in New York organized its annual iftar dinner in which a large number of police officers of Pakistani origin also participated.

The annual iftar dinner was held at Parkchester elementary school PS 106 in Bronx, in which not only members of the Bangladeshi community participated with their families, but also Pakistani American police officers were present.

Addressing participants on this occasion, Deputy Inspector Jahangir Ashraf, a Pakistani origin, praised the efforts of the Bangladeshi American Police Association and said that during the holy and blessed month of Ramadan, iftar dinners were organized in Bronx and other boroughs.

He said that this event provides an opportunity for people from all communities to come together. He described the inclusion of people from different communities in the New York Police as a welcome development.

Other participants also expressed their thoughts during the Iftar dinner. The participants of the event appreciated the organization for holding of such beautiful and meaningful program by the Bangladeshi American Police Association and expressed the hope that such events will be helpful in promoting unity and solidarity among the community in the future.
