NEWYORK: Muslim Community of Nassau County (MCNC), a joint platform of various Muslim organizations and Masajid in Nassau County, organized a grand Iftar dinner for the community which was attended by hundreds of people, including women and children.
A prominent religious and social figure and the driving force behind MCNC Abdul Aziz Bhaiyan highlighted the organization’s mission.
He stated that their primary goal is to unite over 100,000 Muslims in Nassau County under one platform.
He emphasized that since its inception, MCNC has been actively working to bring Muslims together and raise their collective voice for their rights.
Abdul Aziz Bhaiyan said that the establishment of the Asian Affairs Committee in Nassau County was also made possible due to the efforts of MCNC, which is a significant achievement for the local Muslim community.
He stressed the importance of having a unified platform, allowing Muslims to amplify their voices and address their concerns more effectively.
“Our goal is to foster unity among Muslims. It is not necessary to agree on everything, but if we come together on a single platform, it will be a great achievement for the Muslims living in Nassau County,” he said.
The Iftar dinner was graced by the presence of Mufti Farhan, a renowned young Islamic scholar from New York.
He emphasized the importance of unity, quoting the Quran: “Hold firmly to the rope of Allah and do not be divided among yourselves.”
Mufti Farhan stressed that if the Muslim community works together with unity and determination, they can excel in every field. He further stated that the current circumstances demand that Muslims support each other and work collectively to safeguard their rights.
Event organizers Ali Mohammad and Saeed Ahsan also addressed the audience, emphasizing the importance of this platform in uniting the Muslim community. They reiterated that MCNC is proving to be an effective means of bringing Muslims together.
The event was beautifully moderated by Hamza Khamsa, a young entrepreneur and social activist, who skillfully carried out the responsibilities of hosting the evening.
This grand gathering was a testament to the fact that the Muslim community in Long Island is steadily moving towards building a strong and unified platform through unity and collaboration.
