NEW JERSEY: The Halal spot organized a wonderful halal food festival in New Jersey which was attended by thousands of people of Muslim community.
Delicious foods from different regions of the world including Pakistani, Arab, Afghani, Mexican, Indian, American, Italian were available at the food stalls set up at the festival.
Hot and fresh food was served at food stall while the aroma of barbeque was attracting the people who came to enjoy the Halal food. Mexican food lovers were also enjoying their favorite foods. A variety of beverages, tea and ice cream stalls were also set up at the festival.
Long queues of people were seen at stalls where young, old, women and children were all eager to get delicious and fresh food.
Food stalls owners expressed their satisfaction over the response from the people and the business while some of the stall holders won the trophy while taking in the competition.
Several artists performed in the festival and famous Pakistani singer Salman Ahmed’s son Sher Jan Ahmed sang famous “Dil Dil Pakistan” song which was enjoyed by the Pakistani American community.
American writer and activist Shaun King, who raised the voice of Palestine in the United States, also attended the festival and said that even on this beautiful occasion we are remembering our oppressed Palestinian brothers and sisters.
The organizers of the event said that the purpose of this event was to bring different nationalities on a single platform and exchange their cultural and traditional food.
A representative of Halal Food Spot said that this festival gives people an opportunity to enjoy different flavors and provides a platform where people can interact with each other giving them an opportunity to enjoy the flavors of different regions foods.
