One-day consular services camp organized by Pakistan Society of North Texas (PSNT) in Dallas, Texas. Deputy Consul General of Pakistan in Houston Irfan Ullah has said that Houston Consulate issued more than 100 visas daily after consular services in the US have been made online while other facilities have also seen a gradual increase.
Talking with media Deputy Consul General said that Pakistani visa, passport and identity card facility has been made 100% online. While 90% of other facilities are also online. Pakistani Americans are taking full advantage of this facility. He further added that applicant has to appear on the spot for matter of power of attorney and certification, the service cannot be made available online for this; staff of the Consulate is available to serve Pakistani people uninterruptedly. Irfanullah said that he was very grateful to PSNT President Abid Malik and the dedicated team for their support in making the consular camp in Dallas possible today.
PSNT President Abid Malik, also speaks on the occasion, and said that one-day consular camp in Dallas has brought extraordinary convenience to the people. Pakistani consulate staffs have verified more than 300 powers of attorneys in a single day.
People usually have to travel to Houston for this work, but the consulate staff reached the doorsteps of the applicants and provided them this facility for which they are deeply grateful to Deputy Consul general Irfanullah and consulate staffers.
Abid Malik said that this is the second camp of this year to be organized in collaboration with PSNT which has been appreciated by the people.
PSNT Treasurer, Abid Baig, said on the occasion that most of consular services were online, we were estimating a significant decrease in the number of people arriving but more than 300 applicants arrival was unexpected. However, consulate staff has processed all applications from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. We are very grateful to them The people present on the occasion also thanked the staff of PSNT and Pakistan Consulate Houston for setting up Consular Camp and appreciated their services.
