NEWYORK: A Quran Khwani (recitation of the Holy Quran) and prayer gathering was held in New York on the sad demise of the niece of prominent Pakistani-American business figures Haji Khalid, Chaudhry Zulfiqar Ali, Tariq Chaudhry, and Arif Chaudhry.
Family members, relatives, business figures, and a large number of the local community attended the event.
A large number of people attended the Quran Khwani, including the deceased’s cousins, Kamran Khalid, Furqan Khalid, Numan Khalid, Ubaid Arif, Adnan Arif, Faisal Iqbal, Rizwan, and Chand, along with other family members, relatives, and friends.

Participants expressed their heartfelt sympathy and condolences to the bereaved family. A “Naat” (praise of the Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) was also presented.
Business and social figures from the Pakistani-American community participated in the Quran Khwani, and recited the Holy Quran for the departed soul.

Imam Ahmed Ali shed the light on the philosophy of life and death in the light of the Quran and Sunnah. He urged the participants not to remain occupied solely with worldly affairs but to pay special attention to fulfill the rights of fellow human beings alongside acts of worship.
Prayers were offered to the Almighty for the forgiveness of the deceased, the elevation of her spiritual status, and for ease throughout the stages of her journey into the Hereafter.
