NEWYORK: The Pakistani American Skilled Women Organization (PASWO) organized its eighth annual “Eid-Milad-un-Nabi” (Peace Be Upon Him) gathering in New York with great reverence and devotion.
Renowned Naat Khawan Hooria Faheem captivated the audience by presenting Hamd (praise of the God) and “Naat” (praise of the Prophet).
The Mehfil-e-Naat for women—held at a local restaurant on Coney Island Avenue which began with recitation of Holy Quran by Safia Ali.
The restaurant hall was beautifully decorated, featuring banners with images of the Holy sites. Female guests arriving at the event were presented with bouquets.
Atiya Shahnaz, the host of the gathering and founder of PASWO, had the privilege of presenting “Hamd” in praise of the Almighty.
A large number of women from the Pakistani-American community attended the gathering.
Syeda Rashida, Uzma Noreen, Samira, and Safia Ali presented “Qasida-e-Burda Sharif”, “Durood-o-Salam”, and Naat.
PASWO President Shaheen Khokhar and other members welcomed the guests. Young girls, Aiza, Aima, and Umm-e-Hani, captivated the audience by performing a beautiful “Naat” together.
Addressing the participants, Syeda Rashida shed light on the “Seerat-un-Nabi” (the life of the Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) and emphasized the importance of observing devotion and respect during “Milad” gatherings.
Renowned Pakistani NaatKhawan Hooria Faheem attended the “Milad” as the guest of honor; upon her arrival, the leadership and members of PASO welcomed her with warmth and devotion.
Atiya Shahnaz and other Naatkhawan joined together to offer heartfelt tributes of devotion in the presence of the Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him).
The women attending the “Milad” listened attentively to the Naat recitation and discourses on the Prophet’s life. Renowned Naat Khawan Hooria Faheem illuminated the gathering by presenting “Hamd” and “Naats” in her distinctive and mesmerizing style.
Later, participants recited “Durood-o-Salam”, and a special cake was cut to celebrate the occasion of Eid Milad-un-Nabi. A collective prayer was made for the progress and prosperity of the Muslim Ummah.
