WASHINGTON D.C: US charity organization Helping Hand has announced the expansion of the first modern free neurology hospital in Pakistan and its conversion into a modern teaching hospital. The project will cost US$ 60 million.
Addressing a press conference in Washington D.C, Karachi Institute of Neurological Diseases & Rehabilitation KIND-R’s founder and central leader of the Islamic Circle of North America, Dr. Mohsin Ansari, said that the latest facilities are being provided completely free of cost in this first modern hospital for disabled patients at a cost of US$ 8 million.
He said that a campaign to collect US$ 1 million is being launched in the United States this week for its ongoing expenses.
Dr. Mohsin Ansari said that ten million patients in Pakistan are disabled due to various reasons and there was no hospital for their medical treatment. Helping Hand built the country’s first neuro hospital in Mansehra, which is now become a teaching hospital.
Dr. Mohsin Ansari said that Pakistani Americans living in the United States want to do welfare work for their country and the organization of Pakistani doctors APPNA has played a very effective role in this regard.
