NEWYORK: Pakistan People Party and Democrats leader Chaudhry Sarwar, and renowned attorney Iftikhar Tarar hosted a dinner reception in honor of Zahid Raza Ranjha, Moizullah Diwan, and others business and social figures from Mandi Bahauddin.
The reception was held at Coney Island in honor of Zahid Raza Ranjha, Moizullah Diwan, and others, business and social figures from Mandi Bahauddin who came to the US from Pakistan.
The event was moderated by Ghulam Diwan Mustafa, Vice Chairman of the Pakistan Overseas Forum.
He told the audience the good news that an OPF school would soon be built in Mandi Bahauddin. He said that politics in the US is relatively easy for Pakistan, and urged that the youth should take a full part in local politics.
The host of the event, renowned pharmacist, leader of the Pakistan People’s Party and the Democratic Party in the United States, Chaudhry Sarwar, and renowned attorney and political leader Iftikhar Tarar, addressed the participants and said that overseas Pakistanis should keep their political affiliation with any party, but the first priority should always be Pakistan.
They said that the Pakistan Overseas Forum has countless services to its compatriots, thanks to which it is alive in everyone’s hearts.
A large number of Pakistani American community participated in the event. On this occasion, the guests of the event, Zahid Raza Ranjha and Moizullah Diwan, expressed their gratitude for arranging a beautiful gathering. They said that Chaudhry Sarwar and Iftikhar are the powerful voices of overseas Pakistanis.
During the ceremony, business and social leaders Mahfuz Bhullo Nirgana, Haroon Ramey and others highlighted the issues of overseas Pakistanis and stressed that the Pakistani community should maintain unity, harmony and brotherhood among themselves wherever they live.
Overseas community members also expressed their views. They said that in a foreign land, we should all be each other’s hands and support.
Later, the participants reiterated their resolve that they would contribute their full share to the betterment of their beloved homeland while living abroad.
