NEWYORK: The body of American citizen Hammad Enad, who was killed three and a half years ago in the Iraqi capital Baghdad, has arrived in the United States on a special plane. The deceased was buried in a cemetery in New Jersey after offering of a funeral prayers in New York.
Kuwaiti-American Hammad Enad, 40 was granted US citizenship in January 2014. He was allegedly kidnapped and killed three and a half years ago, in September 2022 by unknown extremists in the Iraqi capital, Baghdad.
His body remained in Baghdad for a long time after the murder. Later, US authorities have learned about their citizen, the body of the deceased was brought to Delaware by a special plane and then transferred to New York.
The head of the social organization Council of People’s Organizations, Mohammad Rizvi, made arrangements for the burial of the deceased from Al-Rayyan Muslim Funeral Services.
The funeral prayer of the deceased was offered after the evening prayer at the Mecca Mosque, which was attended by a large number of the community.
Imam Qari Osama explained the philosophy of life and death. He said that no one knows how many breaths of life one has left and every one should try to improve the hereafter more than this world.
COPO chief Mohammad Rizvi expressed his condolences to the father of the deceased Hammad Enad, Enad Ahmed, through a video call. After the funeral prayers, the body of Hammad Enad was laid to rest in the Forest Green Cemetery in New Jersey.
