NEWYORK: The Pakistani community took out a car rally in support of New York City mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani. The participants said that there could be no better person for the betterment of the city than Zohran Mamdani.
The Pakistani American community in New York organized a car rally in collaboration with First Aid Home Care and Roshni International from the platform of Voice for Zohran. The rally started at Coney Island Avenue.
The organizers of the rally included Dr. Salma Kausar, Rahila Aslam, Arshad Khan and others.
The participants were holding American flags, pictures of Zohran Mamdani and various placards in support of him. The speakers said that Zohran Mamdani should be elected mayor of this city.
Various American officials, including women and men from the Pakistani community, also participated in the rally. The participants appeared very enthusiastic and also appealed to vote for Zohran Mamdani.
The floats were also included in the rally with slogans from Zohran Mamdani’s election campaign written on them, while a song composed by the Pakistani community in support of Mamdani was also echoing in the air.
Speakers said that they stand with Zohran Mamdani for justice, equality, betterment of the community and a bright future for this city.
The car rally concluded at Brighton after passing through its designated routes.
