POWER organizes Mehfil-e-Naat in New York

NEWYORK: A social welfare oranization, People Organization for Welfare Equality and Reforms POWER, organized a Mehfil-e-Naat to observe Eid Milad-un-Nabi (Peace Be Upon Him) in New York.

The Mehfil-e-Naat began with recitation of Holy Quaran. A large number of women participated in the Mehfil-e-Naat.

Renowned Naat Khawan Qari Mohammad Farooq recited Naat in honor of Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon HIm).

Religious scholar Tasawar-ul-Hassan Gilani delivered a speech on the occasion of Eid Milad-un-Nabi (Peace Be Upon Him) and shed light on the Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him).

He said that the Alllah Almighty created the entire universe in love for His beloved Propohet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him), and Milad-un-Nabi is a way of accumulating blessings.

POWER’s leader Tahira Deen welcomed the guests and extended her warm welcome.

Tahira Deen and other women said that the Allah Almighty has bestowed upon us a special blessing that He has given us the opportunity to organize the Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) celebration.

Political, social and business figures from the Pakistani American community also participated in the Eid Milad-un-Nabi celebration.

Tahira Deen’s daughter, Hiba Mahmood, also recited in honor of Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him). Hiba Mahmood and other women participating in the Milad also offered Darood-o-Salam in honor of Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him).

Social figures from the community, including Executive Director of Asian American Affairs in Nassau County Aun Naqvi and Dr. Faraz expressed their thoughts and appreciated the services of Tahira Deen and her family. Earlier, renowned religious scholar Tasawar-ul-Hassan Gilani also offered prayers.
