NEWYORK: Rising Star, an Islamic school based in New York, organized a field day at Cunningham Park in Queens in which various activities were organized for the children who also participated in sports competitions.
This colorful event also provided delicious food, fresh fruits and cold juices for the children. Rising Star School is run by ICNA Al-Markaz.
ICNA New York President Tariqur Rehman said that such extracurricular activities not only improve the physical health of the children but also their academic performance.
Teachers said that spending time with children, being a part of their happiness, gives us new energy as teachers.
Parents participating in the field day at Cunningham Park in Queens expressed satisfaction and happiness over the arrangements made for the children in the park.
Children at Cunningham Park were wearing T-shirts of different colors and were enjoying themselves. The children said that they were very excited today.
School Principal Fawzia, Vice Principal Shazia Moaz and teachers played an important role in organizing the field day.
