Shirazi café hosts reception in honor of recently promoted Pakistani-origin police officers

NEWYORK: Shirazi Cafe hosted a reception in honor of Pakistani-origin officers who were promoted in the  New York Police Department. Pakistani-American police officers said that their promotions in the department are a source of pride not only for them but for the entire community.

The New York Police Department had promoted Pakistani-origin officers, including Deputy Inspector Waheed Akhtar, Captain Ehtesham Khan, Captain Muhammad Adnan Ahmed, Commanding Officer Owais Khanzada, Commanding Officer Hameed Armani, and Lieutenant Fayyaz Khan.

The event was moderated by social activist and businessman Asim Malik. Pakistani-American police officer Inspector Adeel Rana also attended the event and said that we are also serving the community along with performing our professional services.

Deputy Inspector Waheed Akhtar and Commanding Officer Owais Khanzada said that we and our Pakistani community were working together to serve the people.

Owners of Sherazi café Owais alias Heera and Shiraz expressed their gratitude to the guests and said that as Pakistanis, we are proud of Pakistani-origin police officers services in the police and our prayers will always be with them. The participants also congratulated the promoted police officers of Pakistani origin and appreciated their services to the community.
