NEWYORK: Former President of Pakistan and Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf leader Dr. Arif Alvi said that at present, ninety percent of the Pakistani nation is with PTI’s founder and former prime minister Imran Khan.
Addressing reception and dinner in his honor by the PTI New York chapter, former President Dr. Arif Alvi, in the history of the entire subcontinent, never before have so many women come out in politics as they have come out with PTI.
The event was attended by a large number of Pakistani community, party workers and prominent leaders.
The event held in honor of former President of Pakistan Dr. Arif Alvi at a local restaurant in New York was hosted by Chief Coordinator Amjad Nawaz, senior leaders Khurshid Ahmed Bhali and Zafar Cheema, while other important organizers included Akram Awan, Samina Haider, Chaudhry Qayyum, Hassam Shakeel, Nadeem Yousaf, Raja Ishtiaq and Imran Qazi.
The other special guests of the event were former Deputy Speaker Qasim Khan Suri, former Advisor to the Prime Minister Dr. Shahbaz Gill, and Secretary of the Overseas Chapter Sajjad Burki.
The event began with the recitation of the Holy Quran and Naat-e-Maqbool in honor of Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him). Khurshid Bhali moderated the event.
Addressing ceremony, PTI New York Chapter Chief Coordinator Amjad Nawaz said that in 2018, Imran Khan’s government was formed due to the tireless efforts of Dr. Arif Alvi, and he also supported the dignity of the party along with the duties of the President in a smart manner.
On this occasion, PTI Virginia President Munir Khatana said that our leaders have been in jail for a long time, for which we keep hearing that a deal is being made or will be done soon, but we made clear that our leader will not make a deal.
PTI senior leader Zafar Cheema thanked the guests for coming and appreciated the efforts of Qasim Suri and Shahbaz Gill to convey the message of PTI founder Imran Khan around the world.
Former Deputy Speaker Qasim Khan Suri said that the prestige that Arif Alvi and Imran Khan have given to Pakistanis in the world after 2018 was a source of pride for overseas Pakistanis.
Former Advisor to the Prime Minister Dr. Shahbaz Gill said that there were many works that are not visible right now, but work is going on at the overseas level for PTI.
Other speakers participating in the ceremony also expressed their views on the party’s vision, the current political situation in Pakistan and the role of overseas Pakistanis.
The speakers emphasized that PTI is a movement that is actively working to bring real change in the country. At the end of the ceremony, the guests were treated to traditional Pakistani food, while the participants also took pictures with the leadership.
