WASHINGTON D.C:US President Trump has announced gold card visa with a path to citizenship for $5 million, replacing a 35 years old visa for investors.
This gold card will likely be more powerful than the green card. During a press conference in the Oval House, US President Donald Trump told reporters that those wishing to get gold card will have to invest five million dollars in the US government.
President Trump said that citizens of any country can apply for the gold card, but the final decision will be made by the relevant department.
Gold card holders will not only be allowed to reside permanently in the US but will also receive other benefits similar to the green card.
The US President also likened the Gold Card to the Green Card.
Trump said that after obtaining the Gold Card, one can also apply for US citizenship, but this will require legal approval from Congress.
To a query, US President said that the sale of the Gold Card will start in the next two weeks and the legal requirements related to it have been fulfilled. It has been observed that the issuance of the Gold Card will generate several trillion dollars in revenue for the US government and the budget deficit will also be reduced.
