NEWYORK: Pakistan has termed a Libyan-led and Libyan-owned process as the only path towards sustainable peace and stability.
Delivering a national statement at the Security Council briefing on UN Support Mission in Libya, Pakistan’s permanent representative to the United Nations Ambassador Munir Akram said that Pakistan further encouraged all Libyan stakeholders to maintain the momentum and constructively address all outstanding issues through meaningful dialogue.
He said any political reconciliation process should offer peace dividends to all citizens and focus on securing an equitable distribution of national resources.
The Ambassador said Pakistan will remain a steadfast partner in supporting Libya’s march towards peace, stability and prosperity.
