Pakistani community celebrates promotion of Mudduserr Malik to the rank of Sergeant

NEW JERSEY:Police officers and members of Pakistani community gathered to celebrate the promotion of the first state trooper of Pakistani origin, Mudduser Malik, to the rank of Sergeant in the state of New Jersey.

Mudduser Malik also has the honor of becoming the first State Trooper in the New Jersey Police.
Malik’s friends and family gathered at a local restaurant in Paterson town to celebrate his promotion to the rank of Sergeant.
The ceremony began with the recitation of the Holy Quran.
The Mayor of Paterson Andre Sayegh also attended the event.
 He said that there is a large number of Muslims living in New Jersey and we want more Muslims to come forward and contribute to the development.
On this occasion, Adeel Rana, the first inspector of Pakistani origin in New York Police and president of MOS, congratulated Mudduser Malik.
 He said that in NYPD, many Muslim officers have been promoted to various positions, but in New Jersey, this number is less, therefore, the promotion of Mudduser  Malik is the progress of all of us.
Officers of the Port Authority also participated in this joyous event.
Mudduser Malik is also the president of the New Jersey Police Muslim Officers Society. He called his promotion a success for all.
The speakers described Inspector Adeel Rana, Commanding Officer Jahangir Ashraf and Sergeant Mudduser Malik as role models for the younger generation.
