NEWYORK: Anjuman-e-Ghousia took out its 39 th Eid-Milad-e-Nabi (PEACE BE UPON HIM) procession in Brooklyn which culminated at Makki Masjid.
The founder of Anjuman-e-Ghousia Pir Syed Safdar Hussain Shah welcomed the participants before the start of the procession at Cooney Island Avenue while Pir Fazeel Ayaz Qasmi offered prayers and later the procession was taken out under the leadership of Ulema and religious scholars.
A large number of Pakistani American including women participated in the procession and they were holding green flags and reciting Darood o Salam in the honor of Prophet Muhammad (PEACE BE UPON HIM) during the procession.
On this occasion, scholars said that organizing and celebrating Eid Milad un Nabi (PEACE BE UPON HIM) is the responsibility and cause of happiness for us.
Addressing on the occasion, Pir Fazeel Ayaz Qasmi shed light on the life and teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PEACE BE UPON HIM).
Sabeeel and Nazr o Niaz were also arranged for the participants of the procession. The procession passed through its traditional route reached Ditmas Avenue, returned to Avenue H and ended at Makki Masjid.
Later, Milad-ul-Nabi began with the recitation of Holy Quran by Imam Qari Osama in front of Makki Masjid which was also attended by the large number of Muslims.
Renowned Naat Khawan recited Naats in honor of Prophet Muhammad (PEACE BE UPON HIM) and religious scholars also highlighted the teachings of Islam and Prophet Muhammad (PEACE BE UPON HIM).
On this occasion, a Manqabat was also recited as an expression of love and affection for the Hazrat Ali (RA).
At the end of Eid-Milad-un-Nabi, a special prayer was offered for the progress, prosperity of the Muslim Ummah, success and peace in the world.
