NYPD seeks public’s help to arrest culprits involved in snatchings from Muslim worshipers in Queens area

NEWYORK: New York police have sought public’s help to arrest culprits involved in snatchings from Muslim worshipers outside Masjid in Queens area.

Armed snatching incidents have been reported to the police in which armed persons have snatched money and valuables from worshipers coming out from the Masjid.

One incident after another has harassed the citizens and disturbed the police.

As per reports, three snatching incidents were reported on August 18 within the limits of 102 and 106 police precincts.

The first incident of snatching took place on Sunday, August 18, 2024 within the limits of 106 Precinct where two unidentified persons took money from a 61-year-old man at gunpoint.

The second incident occurred on the same day within the limits of 102 Precinct, where a 66-year-old man was also robbed at gunpoint.  The third incident was also occurred in same area after 45 minutes of the incident when unidentified persons tried to rob 48 years old man and injured him with a weapon.

The victim was taken to Jamaica Hospital, where he is in stable condition. The arrest of the accused has become a tough challenge for the police.

New York Police Department Assistant Chief Detective Bureau Jason Savino has asked for the public’s help in identifying the suspects while describing the events.
