HOUSTON: Friends of Karachi organized its annual “Dawat-e- Haleem” in Houston in which a large number of Pakistani community including political and social leaders attended.
Speaking on the occasion, former federal minister Babar Khan Ghori said that Friends of Karachi have been organizing “Dawat-e- Haleem” during Muharram for years and today’s event is also a part of such events.
Well-known social personality Ali Shekhani said that Shamim Shekhani Foundation has been performing welfare services in Houston for the last 14 years while the foundation was also doing welfare work in Karachi, Dhaka and Hyderabad Deccan.
Friends of Karachi President Arif Azim, Vice President Shahab Alvi and Secretary General of Pakistan Association of Greater Houston Syed Amir Zaidi along with well-known businessmen, lawyers, doctors, engineers and American Pakistanis from various fields attended in Dawat-e-Haleem.
