JEDDAH: The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) condemned the Israeli’s crime of targeting “Al-Taba’een” School sheltering thousands of displaced persons in Gaza City, which led to the death of more than a hundred martyrs and the injury of dozens of civilians.
“The OIC considers this as an extension of the brutal massacres and crime of genocide committed by the Israeli occupation for more than ten months in the Gaza Strip, in flagrant violation of international law, the orders of the International Court of Justice (ICJ) and relevant UN Security Council resolutions,” OIC’s press statement said.
The OIC held the Israeli occupation forces fully responsible for these ongoing crimes, renewing its call to hold Israel, the occupying power, accountable for all war crimes and crimes against humanity it is committing in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, including the occupied city of Al-Quds.
The OIC also called on the international community, especially the UN Security Council, to oblige Israel, the occupying power, to respect its obligations under international humanitarian law and impose an immediate and comprehensive ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and provide international protection for the Palestinian people.
