MARYLAND: The opening ceremony of the 47th Annual Convention of the Association of Physicians of Pakistani Descent of North America was held at the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center in Maryland.
Renowned doctors, surgeons and health experts were participating the 47th annual convention of the Association of Physicians of Pakistani Descent of North America.
Lectures, workshops, and panel discussions on various medical topics will be conducted in the 47th annual convention of the Association of Physicians of Pakistani Descent of North America, which will be continued till July 7.
It is an important occasion for doctors of Pakistani origin where they exchange their professional experiences, participate in scientific lectures and various workshops and sessions.
APPNA President Dr. Asif Mohiuddin briefed the media about the objectives of the convention. He said that this year we have made changes in medical education while this convention also includes a seminar on entrepreneur innovation in which we wanted to connect AI product developers with investors and this will be the first kind of networking at the APPNA level.
Organizers of the event said that they wanted to create awareness and support the fresh doctors coming from Pakistan with regard to their future in America, besides we were working on various projects to deal with the problem of malnutrition in Pakistan.
Convention’s host committee member Reema Chaudhary said that this year more people were participating in this convention as per our expectation and it is the platform where not only doctors get an opportunity to increase their medical knowledge but also many community service programs were being conducted. Apart from this, various cultural events are also organized which include music, dance, and highlights of Pakistani culture.
During the convention, the participants were not only enhancing their professional knowledge but also considering to start new projects and initiatives for the betterment of the community.
