NEWYORK: The American Council of Minority Women maintained its tradition in this Eid-al-Adha and Halal meat was distributed to more than five hundred people with the support of Islamic Relief USA.
American Council of Minority Women began its annual meat distribution event organized by Islamic Relief USA at Coney Island Avenue in Brooklyn, New York. Not only Muslims but also members of other religions and communities from different areas of the city formed queues early in the morning with discipline.
ACMW Chairperson Baza Ruhi said that she had laid foundation of this tradition fifteen years ago not only for just a community but purely for the service of humanity. She said that happiness should be for everyone.
American officials also participated in the distribution of the sacrificial meat and contributed to the distribution of halal sacrificial meat to the needy families.
The entire ACMW team and volunteers also took the lead in the meat distribution, preparing the meat packets before the distribution event, taking care of the self-esteem of the participants in an organized manner without discrimination of color, caste and religion. ACMW maintained its tradition by distributing halal sacrificial meat to more than five hundred families.
