New York : Renowned religious scholar Mufti Abdul Rehman passed away on thursday morning in Long Island.
The son of Mufti Abdul Rehman Qamar reported the death of his father on the social networking website Facebook. In a Facebook post, he has requested prayers from his friends and family. The funeral prayer of late Abdul Rahman Qamar will be announced shortly after the family consultation.
The Muslim community in New York has expressed deep sorrow over the death of Abdul Rehman Qamar and prayed that Almighty grant him a high place in Jannat al-Firdous.
