JEDDAH: As many as 343 Palestinians were martyred by the Israeli forces during April 23 to April 29, says organisation of Islamic cooperation media observatory of Israel’s crimes against the Palestinians.

According to the OIC Media Observatory of Israel’s Crimes against the Palestinians, five martyrs fell in the West Bank and the others in the Gaza Strip.

576 Palestinians were injured in Gaza and the West Bank.

The number of martyrs since October 7, 2023 until now has reached 34,879.

A Wall Street Journal report, however, revealed that the number of Palestinian martyrs in the Israeli aggression on Gaza announced by the Palestinian Ministry of Health is much less than reality, with health authorities not having the capacity to count all martyrs, and with hospitals and emergency services barely working.

The report said that on April 23, the World Food Program indicated that famine could hit the Gaza Strip in 6 weeks, with half of the Strip’s population suffering from hunger, amid the continued Israeli threat to invade the city of Rafah which is overcrowded with displaced people.

On the other hand, Pehr Lodhammar, former United Nations Mine Action Service Chief for Iraq, said that the Israeli aggression on Gaza “left 37 million tons of debris,” that 65 percent of the devastated buildings in Gaza were residential, and that “clearing rubble from the Strip could take 14 years of work.”

Regarding the Israeli attacks on mosques, there were daily incursions into the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, with flagrant violations having taken place during the so-called “Jewish Passover”.

Fifteen Jewish rabbis asked the Israeli government to allow them to carry out slaughters inside Al-Aqsa Mosque.

At the same time, young Palestinians prevented extremist Jews from bringing goats into the courtyard of the Mosque to slaughter them for their “Passover sacrifice”.

In the city of Al-Khalil, the occupation authorities closed the Ibrahimi Mosque to Palestinians and prevented them from praying there for two days under the pretext of enabling settlers to perform Talmudic rituals inside the Mosque in celebration of the “Jewish Passover”.

The cities and towns of the West Bank witnessed an arrest campaign throughout the week from 23 to 29 April, during which 104 Palestinians were arrested.

Settlers perpetrated 39 attacks on Palestinian towns and villages, including land leveling operations in Jenin and Nablus, the confiscation of 3 bulldozers and a motorcycle in Salfit and Tulkarm, and many other violations that reached, during the aforementioned week, 1701.
