NYPD officers host reception in honor of Inspector Adeel Rana

NEW YORK: New York Police Department officers hosted reception in honor of Inspector Adeel Rana, a first Pakistani American who promoted to the rank of Inspector in NYPD.

Sagheer Ahmed, Mudasir Malik and Zeeshan Munawar hosted reception in honor of Inspector Adeel Rana to celebrate the promotion of Inspector Rana as first Pakistani police inspector in New York police.

The ceremony began with recitation of the Holy Quran. New York Police Chaplain Imam Tahir described the importance of Surah Al-Hamd.

The ceremony was attended by NYPD officers, US officials and a large number of social figures and other people from the community.

Inspector Adeel Rana’s colleagues and police officer participated in the ceremony. The officers appreciated Adeel Rana’s services to the community as well as his colleagues and congratulated him on his progress and wished him success in the future.

Inspector Adeel Rana thanked the hosts for organizing an event in his honor and said that all this has become possible because of the support and love from all of people present here. He said that he is grateful to all of participants for giving so much respect and love.

At the end of the ceremony, a cake was cut in connection of promotion of Inspector Adeel Rana and Lieutenant Mohammad Ali. Later, the guests were served variety of delicious dishes and the
