December 18 is United Nations International Migration Day. Wasim Butt, a City Parliament member, held a video links conference in Heidelberg, Germany.
The conference was attended by President of Migrant Germany Mehmed Khaleej, President of Migrant Heidelberg Yoshih Shipdel, Demetrius, Corina Papi Darialians.
Participants of conference discussed immigration issues around the world, including Germany.
Speakers asked how problems of migrants can be solved in a better way.
Migrants around the world face difficulties, discrimination and life-threatening dangers, according to the participants. People have to take illegal routes to enter to another country territory. Participants added that they have often seen inhumane behavior with immigrants
States and institutions often fail miserably to help migrants. Christmas and New Year’s celebrations have not been well organized this year because of COVID-19 and the severe cold. The guests said that we have to work together on migrants issues so that these issues can be resolved in a good way.
